In the year 1800, 'The National Intelligencer, & Washington Advertiser' claimed to be the first newspaper of Washington, D.C.

With a reputation as a reliable source of government news, reporting on congressional debates of the day, the paper evolved over the years, and finally suspended publication in 1870.

In Scott's 2022 blog of the same name (without Washington Advertiser, etc.), covering business trends, news analysis, and media in 21st Century America.
